This year, REINVENTION returns to Singapore Science Park with a special edition exploring the role of play in discovery, experimentation and meaningful connection. Through the lens of design, REINVENTION: ALLPLAY considers play not simply as leisure but, as N. V. Scarfe described it, “the highest form of research”. A way to question conventions, test possibilities and imagine new ways of moving, making and relating to one another.
Curated by CapitaLand Development in partnership with OuterEdit, and supported by DesignSingapore Council, this three-month programme brings together a series of interventions, collaborations and participatory experiences designed to explore ‘PLAY’ as a catalyst for creativity, movement and social connection in today's ever-evolving world.

PlayCourt repurposes the outdoor area at 7 Science Park Drive into an ever-changing playscape. Gradually transforming over the course of the four months, the PlayCourt will open with familiar sports courts before introducing design and spatial interventions, inviting visitors to rethink forms of play.

Step into the PlayCourt and help shape how we play. Over four months, an outdoor space within Singapore Science Park will transform into a recreational ground and living research experiment created together with the community.
